Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock, TX | My kids (13, 8, 5, 3) had SO much fun at this park. We stopped here to stretch our legs and eat lunch during a camping trip and I think this was the highlight of the trip for them.

Last November we stopped at the Play for All Abilities Park in Round Rock, Texas on our way to Lost Maples State Natural Area. This quick stop to stretch our legs and eat lunch quickly turned into our kids' favorite part of the entire camping trip.

The park is 51,000 square feet of outdoor fun for children of all abilities. It is gated, heavily shaded, and tucked away from busy streets with plenty of parking. We found it to be very clean and well-maintained.

The park is designed to stimulate and encourage the development of several skill sets such as gross and fine motor skills, social interaction, sense of discovery, creativity, and strengthening exercises. There's SO much to do.

    Play Opportunities

The park includes several pods each intended to develop specific skills for all children including:

    • Retreat Pod
    • Sensory Pod-Sand Box
    • Rock Band Pod
    • Rolling Hill/Performance Lawn
    • Sensory Pod
    • All Abilities Playscape
    • All Ability Swings
    • Brushy Creek Village life skills area

    Plan Your Visit

We definitely didn't plan enough time for our visit and ended up rushing the kids through each zone. The girls would have spent the day on the zip-line swings and treehouse while the boys were split between the playscape and sandbox.

We didn't have enough time to unload our bikes from the RV so that we could take advantage of the super fun racetrack or spend time in the adorable mini kid buildings. (It was like an outdoor KidZania.) There is also a trailhead for the Brushy Creek Trail so it would be fun to build in time for a hike.
